The Arizona State Sun Devils have to replenish at outside linebacker. They have a ton of depth at the position, but it’s all upperclass heavy. ASU has to start thinking of the future and what is needed at those spots.
They got some help in the commitment of Reggie Hughes from Calabasas (Ca.).

Reggie Hughes was ranked as a three-star prospect by 247Sports composite (0.8837), the 25th best outside linebacker, and the 45th best California prospect. Hughes committed to ASU over offers from BYU, Michigan State, Nebraska, Oregon State, UCLA and Washington State.
Let’s take a look at Hughes’s highlights from Hudl.
Hughes’ commitment could prove as important as any of the prospects Arizona State ends up landing in its 2018 haul. The Sun Devils are veteran-laden at the outside linebacker position - with three seniors and four juniors at the position heading into the 2017 season. Once he arrives on campus, the opportunity to earn playing time will be there for the young ‘backer.
