Koch hails from Corona (Ca.) Eleanor Roosevelt. A three-star defensive end according to 247Composite, he’s ranked as the 206th best prospect in California and 68th best strongside defensive end. Koch held offers from Arizona, Boise State, BYU, Colorado, and Washington State.
More on Koch’s commitment from Building the Dam.
According to OregonLive’s Andrew Nemec, Andy Koch is a self-proclaimed run-stopper who has dedicated himself to improving his pass-rushing abilities. The three star recruit is just beginning to tap into his potential as he has all the physical tools to be a dominant defensive end.
This past spring, Scout.com named Koch one of the top ten surprises during The Opening in Oakland. According to Scout, Andy Koch is “Long and lean, Koch clocked a 4.2 shuttle and showed quickness off the ball. Has a frame to easily add 25-30 pounds without sacrificing his quickness.”
Here are the video highlights for Koch from his junior season.
