Pac-12 football picks: Stanford over Washington, ASU vs. Notre Dame split

UCLA and Oregon are projected to win unanimously, and who knows what will happen with Cal vs. Washington State.

Otto Greule Jr

What are your picks for each Pac-12 game this week and why?

Josh Schlichter, Pacific Takes: UCLA over Utah: Bruins will come back after the Utes take an early lead at home. Cal over Washington State: this is actually the hardest game to pick, but I think Cal's offense will get back on track this week and the Bears will edge Washington State in a high scoring game. Oregon over Colorado. ASU over Notre Dame: the Irish are reeling right now with Rees' poor performance against Oklahoma, and ASU will treat this game like the super bowl. Stanford over Washington: After a ho-hum performance against Arizona, I don't think Washington has made as many strides as we they think they have. Stanford will run away with it in the second half.

David Piper, Addicted To Quack: Oregon over Colorado is obvious, and UCLA over Utah is as well. I like WSU to beat Cal, as I really believe that California's defense is pretty terrible this season. I like ASU over a Notre Dame team that has a turnover prone quarterback and a merely average defense. And I have to like Stanford at home in a revenge game from last season over the Huskies.

Sean Reynolds, Block U: Utah (homer pick) over UCLA, Washington State over Cal, Oregon over Colorado, Notre Dame over Arizona State and Stanford over Washington.

Jason Bartel, AZ Desert Swarm: Oregon because they're playing Colorado.

UCLA because they're playing Utah.

Stanford just because I don't think Washington is good enough to beat them at Stanford.

Arizona State: I feel like Notre Dame's defense will not be able to keep the Sun Devils in check. This is the most interesting match up this weekend though I think.

Washington State over Cal. Just a gut feeling

Jack Follman, Pacific Takes: Stanford over Washington - The Cardinal only lost in Seattle last year because Josh Nunes was horrible and Kevin Hogan won't let that happen.

Notre Dame over Arizona State - I don't know, but seemingly when Notre Dame plays any Pac-12 team other than USC the past 15 years, they always seem to find a way to pull out the game.

UCLA over Utah - I think the Utes make this one interesting, but their defense won't be able to stop Brett Hundley and the Bruins will be able to pressure Travis Wilson into some mistakes.

Washington State over Cal - This should be an aerial assault with both teams throwing it all over the place and I will give the Cougars the slight edge since their defense has shown the ability to stop people while Cal's hasn't.

Oregon over Colorado - The easiest Pac-12 matchup of the year to pick.

Adam Butler, Pac Hoops:

UCLA @ Utah - Picking the Bruins here because Brett Hundley.
WSU @ Cal - Taking the home Bears here as I like to think young Jared Goff bounces back from the terrible rainfest.
Oregon @ Colorado - Ducks here. But Ralphie storming the field is always super cool.

ASU - ND - You know what Arlington needs? Two out of market teams. That should do it. Anyhow, hard to imagine the Golden Domers being able to keep up with the speed the Devils displayed in firing Lane Kiffin.

UW @ Stanford - Have you watched the Cardinal? Kevin Hogan looks like a bigger, more awkward throwing motion version of Andrew Luck. He was good. Hogan's good.

Phil Fraser, Ralphie Report: I'ma change it up a little, because just picking games is boring:
Ucla -6 over Utah. Ucla's beaten the spread every week, and even on the road I think they'll beat Utah by 2 touchdowns.

Washington State -1.5 over Cal. WSU has just been more impressive and Cal has a QB issue.

Colorado +38.5 over Oregon. CU is likely to get curb stomped, but I don't care. We'll put up a few points hopefully, and Oregon will take their foot off the gas.

Arizona State -6 over Notre Dame. Arizona showed that they can open up the throttle, and Notre Dame hasn't beaten the spread yet. Even for a de facto road game, I'll take ASU

Stanford +7.5 over Washington. Toughest choice. Washington's been great, but Stanford's at home and UDub hasn't been good against the spread in quite a while
