Pac-12 football schedule: WSU vs. USC, Oregon vs. Virginia the week 2 matchups

What Pac-12 things are you most looking forward to in Week 2?

Scott Olmos-USA TODAY Sports

Anthony Cassino, UW Dawg Pound: I want to see how Oregon does when they're not playing a high school team, and I'm curious if David Fales and SJSU can give Stanford another scare.

Jeff Nusser, CougCenter: Selfishly, I'm looking forward to seeing if the Cougs can put together back-to-back strong efforts on the road. I think that will tell us a lot about that team, and besides -- wouldn't y'all like to see the meltdown if USC actually loses at home to WSU? You know you would. Other than that, it's a pretty awful weekend for compelling matchups. I guess I'm mildly intrigued by the minor upset possibility in SJSU/Stanford.

David Piper, Addicted to Quack: Week two is a pretty dud schedule for the conference. I'm looking to see how Oregon State rebounds against a dreadful Hawaii team, what Oregon looks like against an opponent with a pulse at Virginia, and of course the conference opener, WSU at USC.

Jason Bartel, AZ Desert Swarm: Two more Big Sky teams to try and take down the PAC...Portland State at Cal and Weber State at Utah. Definitely would not be surprised if Weber won, would be surprised if Portland State won. Also, USC/Washington State. Could define both teams' seasons. Virginia didn't look so great against BYU last week so that Oregon game doesn't look as exciting as it did last week.

nds500 (Noah), Addicted to Quack: WSU vs USC - winnable game for the Cougs against a program that has a lot of talent but lacks identity and leadership.

Oregon vs Virginia - the result isn't in question but it will be nice to see the Ducks play a legitimate team.

Hawaii vs Oregon State - was week 1 against Eastern Washington a fluke or are the Beavs in serious trouble this year?"

Connor Pelton, Building the Dam: Most everyone expects Oregon to dominate Virginia, but I don't see it that way. The Ducks SHOULD win, but cross country road games rarely result in easy victories. Expect a raucous Cavalier team/crowd to keep UVA in it for the first half. Aside from that, how Oregon State bounces back against Hawaii will be interesting. I was impressed with the way the Rainbow Warriors hung with USC, and if the Beavers aren't careful, they're staring another bad loss and a road to a 2-10 season right in the face.

Jack Follman, Pacific Takes: The second week isn't loaded with big games but I'm looking forward to seeing if the Cougars can compete with the Trojans down in LA, how the Beavers can bounce back after last week's embarrassment, the Ducks under Mark Helfrich against a quality opponent and if the Pac-12 can hold court against a bunch of FCS opponents and avoid upsets.

Patrick Flower, Pacific Takes: There are no marquee games on the week two Pac-12 schedule and week one's most exciting team, Washington, is on a bye. I will be looking forward to seeing which teams shine and players develop into playmakers. An example from week one would be Colorado WR Paul Richardson (10 rec, 208 rec yards, 2 rec TDs) who is coming back from nearly two full seasons away from football.
