The Utah Utes have a prized commit in the form of Jack Tuttle, and Tuttle continues to shine. The quarterback turned heads at Day 1 of The Opening. More from Block U.
The main takeaway from day one for Utah fans is San Marcos (Calif.) Mission Hills four-star quarterback Jack Tuttle impressed in a field with 11 of the other top quarterbacks in the nation, including the No. 1 overall recruit Trevor Lawrence. Tuttle’s strong performance in the Elite 11 Final that earned him a spot at The Opening moved him up to No. 34 overall in the latest 247Sports ranking and No. 51 in Scout’s.
What is 247Sports saying about Tuttle’s early performance?
Tuttle, a Utah commit who continues to profess that he's solid in his verbal, was quick in his drops, accurate with his throws and delivered with big-time velocity. Every quarterback had his fair share of misses but I don't remember ever seeing Tuttle throw a duck. He just looks like he's more prepared than anyone to compete this week.
However, that type of top performance means that bigger programs are coming calling. Tuttle is garnering renewed interest from the USC Trojans.

If Tuttle stays firmly committed to Utah, the Utes may have themselves a keeper. At the moment, he seems as solid as you can want.
Top247 QB Jack Tuttle basically said something catastrophic would have to happen at #Utah for him to sign elsewhere: https://t.co/t8N4hKaeqr
