Washington Huskies stockpile on loaded defense in 2016 recruiting class

Check out UW Dawg Pound to learn more about the Huskies.

The Washington Huskies have one of the strongest defenses in the Pac-12, and it only figures to get stronger.

Washington Huskies 2016 National Signing Day: Linebacker Camilo Eifler is a Husky! [Kirk Degrasse, UW Dawg Pound]: "One of the most significant commitments in the 2016 class was from Camilo Eifler, a consensus 4-star recruit out of Bishop O'Dowd H.S. in Oakland (where he played for Husky legend Napoleon Kaufman).  Washington beat out UCLA, Michigan, Oregon and Cal for his verbal and was a key early commitment for the 2016 class."

Defensive End Levi Onwuzurike is a Husky! [Kirk Degrasse, UW Dawg Pound]: "That persistence paid off in a big way with the commitment of 4-star DE Levi Onwuzurike last month.  Michigan made a big push for him and some thought Baylor would be able to keep him in-state, but in the end he really liked the "Built for life" recruiting pitch and forged a strong bond with DC Pete Kwiatkowski."

Washington Huskies 2016 National Signing Day: Cornerback Byron Murphy is a Husky! [Kirk Degrasse, UW Dawg Pound]: "The Army All-American and consensus 4-star prospect will get his first shot as a CB for the Huskies, but he has the ability to be an impact player at WR too, so it will bear watching to see where he takes reps for Washington when he arrives this fall."

Washington Huskies 2016 National Signing Day: Linebacker Brandon Wellington is a Husky! [Kirk Degrasse, UW Dawg Pound]: "The combination of his early commitment and a relative lack of national acclaim for him as a recruit (he was one of the more egregious omissions from the high school All-American games last month) has perhaps led to him being a bit overshadowed in this recruiting class, but make no mistake - he's a fantastic athlete and terrific pick-up for the Huskies."
