The Arizona State Sun Devils got another big recruiting commit at linebacker! They recently got the commitment of Reggie Hughes, and now have moved onto find another big Southern California prospect in the form of Mission Viejo linebacker Christian Lavalle.

Lavalle stands at around 5’11 to 6’0”, ranked three stars (0.8289) in the 247Sports Composite as the 63rd best inside linebacker and the 152nd best California prospect. Lavalle held offers from the armed forces academies in Army, Air Force, and Navy.
More from House of Sparky on the impact of Lavalle’s commitment.
This elite size for a high school player allowed LaValle to excel in his time at Mission Viejo High School, tallying 115 and 108 total tackles during his sophomore and junior seasons, respectively. His sophomore campaign was highlighted by 20 tackles for loss, while he managed just five as a junior.
LaValle also proved athletic enough to contribute on offense as a tight end during high school, but will likely solely play on the defensive side in his collegiate career.
Here are Hudl highlights of Lavalle’s performance as a junior.
