Two of the top California 2016 defending recruits currently go to the same school. Pittsburg (Ca.) Senior safety Shurod Thompson is right along with Pittsburg (Ca.) Senior athlete Jordan Parker as being two of the big Bay Area prospects, and many pundits seem to project that they'll end up in the same school. In terms of landing a package deal for players, Thompson and Parker might be the best bets, since they can play in tandem in the same backfield at cornerback and safety.
Currently, there are two programs that seem to be lining up for first dibs. Thompson and Parker listed Arizona State and USC as his top two. [Adam Gorney, Rivals]. Cal, Oregon State, Washington State and UCLA have also extended offers to both players, but it seems the Sun Devils and Trojans are leading right now. Both of the prospects are pretty even in West Coast interest. Thompson has posted seven offers from Pac-12 schools; Parker has gotten eight.
