UCLA Bruins quarterback commit Dorian Thompson-Robinson seems to be very solid and happy with his commitment. But he appears to have left the door open to making a move if there are changes in the program. The uncertainty hanging over Jim Mora could lead Thompson-Robinson to consider other options.
One of them could be across town with the USC Trojans. It sounds like it’d be the only program Thompson-Robinson would consider making a flip for at this point. More from Chris Swanson at Rivals:
Thompson-Robinson confirms that at this moment, he's only considering UCLA and USC. And he's considering becoming a Trojan because he respects that program. He feels they're very much on par with the school he's committed to.
"It's basically like a UCLA just in different colors honestly," Thompson-Robinson said when asked why he was listening to USC. "And so that's pretty much the main reason. I can get the same stuff at USC that I can get at UCLA. So if something were to happen at UCLA, I can always just go over to SC and I'll get the same thing."
Thompson-Robinson proved himself to be quite capable at The Opening early event. More from Barton Simmons at 247Sports:
We felt like the UCLA commit had a good first day and was probably near the middle of the pack among this really talented group. He was accurate, spun the ball consistency and he always shows a lot of bounce athletically in the pocket.
