Griffin stands at 6-0 and 170 pounds, ranked as the 49th best national prospect, the eighth best cornerback, and the 7th best California recruit according to 247Sports Composite. Griffin picked UCLA over USC, Oregon and Washington, and had a host of offers from the rest of the Pac-12 and other programs like Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, TCU and Texas A&M. Griffin is also the son of rapper Warren G.
UCLA is now up to five defensive back commits, with two pure cornerbacks in the form of Griffin and Ken Montgomery Jr. UCLA also has three safety commits in Stephan Blaylock, Cam’ron Jones, and Dayven Coleman.
UCLA's class grows to 18 with Griffin in the fold and climbs to No. 12 in the 247Sports Recruiting rankings.
Griffin is a terrific two-way player on the prep level, catching 39 passes for 759 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior while registering 35 tackles, five pass breakups and two interceptions on the other side of the ball.
