The Washington State Cougars have been looking for long-term stability at the quarterback position. They may have found their man in Camm Cooper, who has done nothing but impress at camp after camp. More from Britton Ransford at CougCenter:
Cooper, who committed to WSU over offers from Tennessee, Georgia, Arizona State, North Carolina and several others, punched his ticket to The Opening Finals after an impressive performance at the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles earlier this month. The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder will now put his skills up against 11 other top quarterbacks this weekend as the group is narrowed down to one and crowned the Elite 11 winner.
The Opening appears to be no different. Here’s the day one assessment of Cooper from Barton Simmons at 247Sports.com.
The Washington State commit has one of the quickest releases in Oregon. He's really accurate and efficient completing passes in the short and intermediate range. He struggles some as the routes get deeper but he looks like a really good fit in Pullman.
Learn more about Cooper’s plans for The Opening in this recent interview he did with Scout. Cooper is really turning heads as a man of the future up at Wazzu.
