Bo Graham resigned due to relationship with ASU student-athlete

For those wondering why Bo Graham resigned for Arizona State, Doug Gottlieb has reported that Graham got into a relationship with a former Arizona State athlete. Once Graham was found out by Arizona State, he was forced to resign when the relationship was exposed by the athletic department.

This doesn't seem like a big deal on the face of it, as it doesn't seem like there were any ethical breeches. Unfortunately for Bo, the relationship began when she was a student-athlete at ASU, which is a big no-no for Arizona State coaches. Coaches are not allowed to have a relationship with any athletes at their school, regardless of their age.

So despite having a promising start in his time in Tempe, Bo is out. The son of Todd Graham has been replaced by graduate assistant Josh Martin and the Sun Devils seem ready to move on with their season.

This also indicates that this apocryphal Tweet from former Arizona State quarterback Rudy Carpenter the day that Bo resigned was referring to Bo's situation.
