The California Golden Bears will have one heck of a tough schedule this season. If Cal can survive being away from home for most of the first half of the season, they will probably have a good year.
- 8/27: Hawaii (ANZ Stadium, Sydney, Australia)
- 9/3: Bye week
- 9/10: at San Diego State
- 9/17: Texas
- 9/24: at Arizona State
- 10/1: Utah
- 10/8: at Oregon State
- 10/15: Bye week
- 10/21 (Friday): Oregon
- 10/27 (Thursday): at USC
- 11/5: Washington
- 11/12: at Washington State
- 11/19: Big Game
- 11/26: UCLA
Cal will play Hawaii in Australia, which takes the place of a home FCS game. They will then battle the Aztecs in San Diego. Their lone two home games before their second bye week will be Utah and Texas, with another pair of road games in Arizona State and Oregon State.
After their bye week, it's a Friday night against Oregon and then six days to turn around and play USC on a Thursday night in the Coliseum. Then there's the Washington schools, and a potential wrap up with two Pac-12 title contenders in Stanford and UCLA at home. Now that's a gauntlet.
