Which of the Pac-12 matchups this weekend are you most looking forward to and why?
Jack Follman, Pacific Takes: USC at UCLA is the obvious pick mainly because it's such an even matchup and it could decide Ed Orgeron's fate, but I'm going to go with the Apple Cup. The Huskies desperately need to win more than seven games in the regular season and the Cougars likely could need the win to actually get to a bowl so both really, really need the win. I think overall, it's the most fun rivalry in the conference and the teams look relatively even going into the game.
Chris Landon, UW Dawg Pound: I'm quite interested in the Civil War given the fact that both teams are in such a state of dejection right now that it really is the case that the "better coach" and his motivational powers is likely to win it. However, the USC/UCLA game is the one I'm eager to watch. If the Bruins lose, not only will it be a lingering loss to a rival that they were supposed to be better than, but it would also likely mean a dropping out of the rankings to end the season. On the flip side, there is a Pat Haden story line here. If Orgeron wins it, the pressure to retain him will be very high, even if he's not the best long-term option for Troy. Storylines galore!
Jason Bartel, AZ Desert Swarm: Arizona/ASU for obvious reasons. Going to be in Sun Devil Stadium this weekend, and the Devils have a lot riding on this game. Arizona has the chance to play spoiler and send ASU to Palo Alto next week for the title game, and improve bowl status at the same time. Can't wait.
