Here are your five main contenders for the Heisman Trophy from the Pac-12.
Cody Kessler, USC Trojans quarterback (12/1 odds): USC with a marquee quarterback is always going to be a potent Heisman mix. Keep your eye on this one if the Trojans start this season in a strong spot. Kessler is very good at throwing touchdowns without throwing picks, which will be super efficient.
Paul Perkins, UCLA Bruins running back (18/1 odds): The Bruins have lost Brett Hundley, but Perkins has shown he can be a strong offensive option. UCLA might have to go a run-first offense next season, and Perkins can be a beneficiary.
Royce Freeman, Oregon Ducks running back (33/1 odds): Could Oregon go back-to-back with Heisman winners? With Marcus Mariota gone, Freeman will almost certainly be the likeliest first option running back. With the Ducks breaking in a new quarterback, expect Royce to have a solid season.
D.J. Foster, Arizona St. Sun Devils running back (40/1 odds)
Nick Wilson, Arizona Wildcats running back (40/1 odds)
With Arizona and Arizona State looking like they're going to rely heavily on their run offense, expect Foster and Wilson to also have excellent seasons. Wilson was great as a freshman and Foster can do well as both a running back and receiving back.
