The Utah Utes are pulling out all the stops for their season opener against Michigan. They have nice looking new helmets they'll be debuting this week. And now they'll be getting into Jim Harbaugh's grill with some nice fun taunting gear. There will be random Alex Smith heads in the stands of Rice Eccles for Jim Harbaugh to take a look at. You can take a look at the head they'll be using from the great Utah quarterback; it's a grand photo from his Fiesta Bowl win against Pitt in 2004.
Word on the street is Alex Smith heads will be randomly distributed throughout RES. Welcome to Utah, Harbaugh.

Harbaugh, if you remember from his NFL days, benched then starting 49ers quarterback Smith (who just led the Niners to an NFC Championship bid) in favor of Colin Kaepernick. The decision seemed justified afterward. Kaepernick would eventually lead the 49ers to a Super Bowl and two straight NFC Championship games, but San Francisco did not end up with a trophy in the end and Harbaugh eventually parted ways with the 49ers.
Smith went onto the Kansas City Chiefs and has enjoyed decent success as a starter there. But his greatest success came with Urban Meyer and Utah, where the Utes went undefeated in 2004 and earned a BCS bowl berth for the first time ever. Meyer is now at Ohio State and will be battling with Harbaugh on a yearly basis.
