It's early and we don't know who are the early entries will or won't be, but with college basketball at full tilt, I thought it would be fun to kick off our 2016 Pac-12 Perspective NBA mock draft.
1. Philadelphia - Ben Simmons SF LSU
2. Lakers - Brandon Ingram SF Duke
3. Phoenix - Dragan Bender PF Croatia
4. Boston - Jaylen Brown SG Cal - Cal's one-year wonder has a dream NBA G/F body that could get him into the lottery even if he had limited skills otherwise. The thing he has a lot of skills and has star potential combined with the ability to come in and make an impact right away. The Celtics would love to bring in a strong backcourt scorer with power to push them towards the top of the East.
5. Minnesota - Kris Dunn PG Providence
6. New Orleans - Jamal Murray PG Kentucky
7. Sacramento - Buddy Hield SG Oklahoma
8. Denver - Jakob Poeltl C Utah - Poeltl had a rough tournament, but the 7'1 Pac-12 Player of the Year with insane mobility is a guaranteed Top 10 pick. He could be gold in the faster NBA game as a big guy who can run the floor and play defense and the Nuggets could be in a great place to plug him in.
9. Toronto - Skal Labissiere PF Kentucky
10. Orlando - Henry Ellenson PF Marquette
11. Milwaukee - Dejounte Murray PG Washington - Murray seems about 50/50 to go to the NBA right now in my opinion and I think he will ultimately not be able to turn down the chance to be a first round pick and start his career. He is quick, long with an NBA drive and mid-range game. The Bucks could really use a fresh start at point guard and Murray could be a star there in a few years.
12. Utah - Deyonta Davis PF Michigan State
13. Phoenix - Ivan Rabb PF Cal - I think Rabb joins Brown in declaring for the draft and in going in the lottery. His length and scoring ability at the basket are near the top of the draft and team looking for a new star at power forward like the Sun would be wise to jump on him.
14. Detroit - Domantas Sabonis PF Gonzaga
15. Boston - Stephen Zimmerman PF UNLV
16. Denver - Brice Johnson PF North Carolina
17. Denver - Denzel Valentine SG Michigan State
18. Chicago - Diamond Stone C Maryland
19. Indiana - Demetrius Jackson PG Notre Dame
20. Charlotte - Timothe Luwawu SG France
21. Denver - AJ Hammons C Purdue
22. Boston - Furkan Korkmaz SG Turkey
23. Atlanta - Damian Jones C Vanderbilt
24. Philadelphia - Wade Baldwin PG Vanderbilt
25. Clippers - Tyler Ulis PG Kentucky
26. Philadelphia - Ante Zizic C Croatia
27. Toronto - Grayson Allen SG Duke
28. Phoenix - Malik Beasley SG Florida State
29. San Antonio - Guerschon Yabusele PF France
30. Golden State - Taurean Prince SF Baylor
