That’s rare.

Quick look at the Pac-12 standings through one week.

North:

Cal, 1-0: Idle with a bye, Cal’s 51-31 win over Hawaii isn’t looking so bad after all the stumbling by other teams in the conference.

Oregon, 1-0: Oregon struggled with UC Davis, but a win is a win. It could’ve been far worse.

Stanford, 1-0: Stanford didn’t have an easy time with Kansas State, but in the end the Cardinal were not seriously in danger of losing.

Washington, 1-0: Washington had the most impressive performance of Week 1 in the conference. Dominant in all phases.

Oregon State, 0-1. The Beavers had their chances, but the Gophers just had enough to carry themselves to a win.

Washington State, 0-1. Oh Cougs. Wazzu folded again in an FCS battle.

South

Arizona State, 1-0. The Sun Devils are back in the win column, although it was in unconvincing fashion.

Colorado, 1-0. Good job by the Buffs! Colorado had the most convincing win in Week 1 in the South for sure!

Utah, 1-0. The Utes lost a lot but trudged their way to an opener win.

Arizona, 0-1. The Wildcats could not score consistently and it was their downfall in the end against the Cougars.

UCLA, 0-1. The Bruins had a great chance for an early win to set the tone and pretty much bumbled every opportunity.

USC, 0-1. The Trojans got curbstomped. That has happened approximately never. A rare treat for the rest of the Pac-12.
