Pacific Takes Pac-12-focused Top 25 10/12: Cal stays ranked

Only four Pac-12 teams remain ranked.

Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

1. Ohio State 6-0

2. Utah 5-0

Did the Utes look great against Cal? No, but this season with every team is so hit and miss I am not going to punish them and they still have a great overall resume with that opening win over Michigan looking even better.

3. Baylor 5-0

4. TCU 6-0

5. LSU 5-0

6. Clemson 5-0

7. Florida 6-0

8. Texas A&M 5-0

9. Florida State 5-0

10. Mississippi 5-1

11. Alabama 5-1

12. Michigan 5-1

13. Michigan State 6-0

14. Stanford 4-1

I bumped Michigan ahead of Stanford since they demolished Northwestern. Still, the Cardinal look like the best and most complete team in the Pac-12 to me.

15. Oklahoma State 6-0

16. Iowa 6-0

17. UCLA 4-1

The Bruins got a much-needed week off. The path is still there for them to get back into the Top 10, but it won't be easy with how stacked the Pac-12 is this year.

18. Notre Dame 5-1

19. Northwestern 5-1

20. Oklahoma 4-1

21. Duke 5-1

22. Houston 5-0

23. Temple 5-0

24. Memphis 5-0

25. Cal 5-1

I am not going to knock Cal for losing a close one on the road at Utah. However, the road gets much tougher for them from here to prove that they are a Top 25 team.
