While week two also offers its fair share of "patsies", it also features three Power 5 vs Power 5 matchups - with at least two being nailbiters to the end. Also in the line of matchups is six PAC-12 vs Group of 5 matchups, offering one of the most exciting nonconference weeks of the year.
UCF @ Stanford
- UCF is one of the best Group of 5 teams in the nation, and could easily pose a threat to any team willing to even slightly overlook them. Even though they can be extremely successful, most Power 5 teams, with the required amount of effort, can put up enough points to get the W. If Stanford puts in the work, then they will win, no doubt. Stanford: 27; UCF: 10
San Diego State @ California
- The amount of talent San Diego State can not even begin to compare with one of the PAC-12's least successful teams (in the last few years). This game is definitely in Cal's control, and their offense should have a big day. California: 42; San Diego State: 17
Oregon State @ Michigan
- After a coaching change that is definite to show results in the next few years, Oregon State may not yet have the firepower to compete with Harbaugh...yet. Michigan is bound to show improvement with their first game in the Big House for the 2015 season, as Oregon State may not be capable of a win right now. Oregon State definitely could be a surprise team, but as of right now, they can't compete with Michigan. Michigan: 31; Oregon State: 20
Sacramento State @ Washington
- Nobody who knows sports should doubt Washington in this game, as Washington casually plays through an FCS opponent. Washington: 41; Sacramento State: 6
Washington State @ Rutgers
A rematch of last years 41-38 thriller should prove to be another great game. Expect another firework show, and for Rutgers to (again) pull out a late win... They have home field advantage... Sorry cougar fans... Rutgers: 45; Washington State: 41
Oregon @ Michigan State
- After Oregon's 46-27 thrashing of #7 Michigan State, there was no doubt they belonged in the top 5... But this year, things are different with Marcus Mariota being gone. Even though Vernon Adams is expected to be extremely good this year, he won't be ready to compete with one of the nations best in Week 2... Michigan State: 24; Oregon: 20
Cal Poly @ Arizona State
- Arizona State will welcome an easy opponent after a very physical game with Texas A&M. Arizona State: 56; Cal Poly: 6
Arizona @ Nevada
- Anu Solomon is one of the most elite quarterbacks in the PAC-12, and a visit to Nevada shouldn't be that big of a deal for him and the rest of the team. Arizona: 38; Nevada: 24
Idaho @ USC
- USC easily picks up a win as they cruise through their weak nonconference schedule. USC: 48; Idaho: 14
UMASS @ Colorado
- Colorado barely escaped with a win at UMASS last year, but this year, an improving buffalo team should definitely get the win. Colorado: 35; UMASS: 24
Utah State @ Utah
- Chuckie Keeton is a very great quarterback when healthy, and chances of an injury this early in the season is extremely unlikely, so expect him to be the biggest trouble for the Utah defense. This should be a pretty defensive rivalry game, but look for Utah to pull out in the 4th quarter due to home field advantage, and the PAC-12 talent. Utah: 23; Utah State: 13
