Ranking the Pac-12 Classes of 2015: #1 Arizona

Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports

Now that the signing day dust has settled, it's high time to rank every team's Class of 2015. Robert O'Neill will be doing just that over the next month. We conclude this series with #1 Arizona.

Sean Miller has never been to a Final Four. A lot of people expect that to change this season. If it doesn't, somehow, I would be willing to bet it will next season. Without overblowing things, Arizona's class of 2015 has the potential to be one of the best of all time. Sean Miller, essentially, has become the John Calipari of the West Coast.

Miller's class of 2014 was sixth in the country (per 247Sports), which is impressive in it's own right. People were wondering if he would be able to top it, and, if so, how? Well... Arizona's class of 2015, as it stands right now (they have one scholarship remaining), sits at FIRST in the nation, narrowly edging out Kentucky. Basically, if you're a Wildcats fan, you have a TON to be excited about.

As it stands right now, Arizona has three five-star players and a four-star player coming in, with one spot remaining open (expected to go to another five-star player).

Ray Smith

Smith, a five-star small forward from Las Vegas, Nevada, has had Sean Miller's interest since September 2013 when he was first visited by the coach. He was visited again in January 2014, and committed in July 2014, choosing Arizona over a smattering of other Pac-12 schools, and, even east coast schools such as Georgetown and Louisville. Per 247Sports, Smith is the 5th best player in their Top247 and the best player in Nevada. If you watch his highlight video below, from last summer's NBA Top 100 Camp, it's very easy to see why.

Smith has an explosive finish, great ball handling skills, and a smooth jumper. He's also not afraid to draw contact as he goes to the hole.

Allonzo Trier

Trier, a five-star shooting guard, is originally from Maryland, but playing his senior season at the famed Findlay Prep in Nevada. I wrote about Trier in September back when he originally chose Arizona, which you can see here. There isn't much to add to my initial analysis, Trier is still an incredible player. Below is his most recent highlight tape.

Justin Simon

Simon, a five-star point guard out of Temecula, California, is Arizona's final five-star player in this class... as of right now. Simon was one of the class' most recruited players, racking up over 20 scholarship offers from schools all over the country, thanks, in part, to the lack of depth at the point guard position in the class. Simon made his decision relatively early, however, committing to Arizona on May 6, 2014. Simon is a great all-around point guard, as his highlight reel shows. He has a nice jumper, good explosiveness, quality handles, and great court vision to find the open man.

Chance Comanche

Comanche, a four-star center out of Los Angeles, is right on the cusp of being a five-star player. He's the 47th best player in the country, per 247Sports. I covered Comanche, in depth, when he committed to the Wildcats. You can find that right here. Below is his most recent highlight reel.

The final scholarship

Arizona isn't done, yet. They still have one scholarship remaining. There is a firm believe that final scholarship may go to five-star power forward Ivan Rabb. Rabb would give Arizona FOUR five-star players in this class, and likely cement it as one of the best of all time. If Rabb decides to go somewhere else, Arizona will likely turn to five-star center Stephen Zimmerman. No matter which route Sean Miller takes with his final scholarship, one thing is for sure: Arizona is going to be the team to beat next year.
