Apologies for the links, D3 doesn't load on this site.

(4-1) last week, (14-8) on the season

Friday

#37 Oregon at #60 California 7:30pm PT, ESPN

Oregon Offense vs. California Defense

California Offense vs. Oregon Defense

How do you feel about offense? Do you like offense? What if I told you that two teams with very good offenses were about to face off and both teams also have terrible defenses? Would that be something you are interested in? Well you are in luck. This game is taking place in an alternate universe from Utah and UCLA, so enjoy it Pac-12 offense fans.

Oregon 63 Cal 56

#5 Colorado at #46 Stanford 12pm PT, Pac12 Network

Colorado Offense vs. Stanford Defense

Stanford Offense vs. Colorado Offense

This is the game that is giving everyone pause on picking because we still want to believe in Stanford, but the truth is Stanford isn't great. Their offense carried them last year and their offense isn't good. Colorado has the defense to shut this Stanford team down and I trust Liufau to get it done against a Stanford defense that hasn't been able to shut down the pass.

Colorado 27 Stanford 17

#63 Utah at #24 UCLA 1pm PT, Fox

Utah Offense vs. UCLA Defense

UCLA Offense vs. Utah Defense

This is the Pac-12 "get those kids off my lawn" game of 2016. You will not see a purer matchup of teams with incompetent offense vs competent defense and special teams all year. So for a good many football fans this will look like a good old fashioned slobber knocker, but in reality it will just be that two teams with flaccid offenses decided to hang out in Westwood for an afternoon. UCLA has the better defense and much more talent overall. Utah's punters are a bit less effective when not playing in Salt Lake or Boulder; imagine how they used to be in Laramie and Colorado Springs. Even if Rosen doesn't play I like the Bruins and I like naps.

UCLA 21 Utah 13

#64 Oregon State at #3 Washington 3:30pm PT, Pac12 Network

Oregon State Offense vs. Washington Defense

Washington Offense vs. Oregon State Defense

So it is pretty likely that Oregon State doesn't get smoked like Oregon did against the Huskies, but still manages utter offensive futility. The Beavers defense is better than the Ducks and Washington will probably have less of a point to prove. Though the last time a team rolled into Corvallis this reliant on Explosive Drives on offense they left with a loss. Washington is pretty much a 180 from Cal on defense though.

Washington 56 OSU 17

#7 Washington State at #59 Arizona State 7pm PT, Pac12 Network

Washington State Offense vs. Arizona State Defense

Arizona State Offense vs. Washington State Defense

This game has been a bit all over the map on some of the picks too. I think people still have too much faith in the Sun Devil's start and not enough in the information that has come in when the Sun Devil's have played competent opponents. Weird things can happen in Tempe or Tucson, but WSU would have to have some incredibly bad turnover luck to lose this game.

WSU 48 ASU 20

Off: Arizona, USC
